Increased Telephone Demand

Here at Ordnance Unity Centre for Health we have been open to patients and have been dealing with their needs throughout the pandemic and we continue to do so. We have a very dedicated group of GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists, Healthcare Assistance as well as our administrative team who are determined to give our patients the highest quality of care.

We have recently noticed a surge in demand on our telephone lines especially for on-the-day urgent appointments. Whilst our team continue to do their best to cater to the needs of our patient population, if you query or request is not urgent for that day please refrain from calling first thing in the morning to minimise the waits on the telephone lines. We would be grateful if patients could either request a routine appointment or use the built-in forms and online consultations platform integrated into our practice website to contact the surgery. The online consultation platform is called eConsult and utilising it reduces the need to wait in the telephone queue and most queries are usually dealt with within 2 working days.

  • You can use eConsult to tell us about your symptoms and request an appointment with a GP
  • Administrative requests such medical certificates, sick notes and medical reports can be requested via the Administration Office.
  • For all medication request and queries, utilise the forms here.
  • For some services such as Physiotherapy, Counselling and Maternity, you can refer yourself without the need to speak to a GP.
